MODULES
The DeskAlerts package is comprised of a flexible set of modules, each offering different funcionality.
Dashboard
This is the first screen on DeskAlerts. It can be customised with reporting widgets, and shortcuts for one-click alerts.
Alerts
Using this module you can send the basic alert types: pop-up, ticker (scrolling messages), or RSVP (alerts that require a response from the end-user).
These alerts can be configured in a multitude of ways, such as sending to both desktops and mobiles, adding images, and making the alert high-priority.
Emergency Alerts
This module is built for alerts that need to be sent instantly. Users can send pre-packaged alerts at the click of a button, or even from desktop shortcuts.
Video Alerts
This enables users to send messages containing videos in an assortment of formats. Video Alert messages are sent to recipients as desktop pop-ups, just like any other DeskAlerts messages.
Surveys/Quizzes/Polls
If you need to gauge a response from your employees or get feedback, you can do so quickly with the DeskAlerts employee survey tool. With just a few clicks, you can publish an employee survey that staff can respond to from their desktops. You’ll be able to have real-time reporting as your employees respond.
RSS/News Feeds
This allows you to feed news, headlines, or videos from any RSS enabled source like SharePoint, Exchange, websites, blogs, etc. Make your organisation follow your corporate news or any other internal or external entries.
Screensavers
The DeskAlerts screensaver module works in the same way as an ordinary PC screensaver, and allows for targeted content delivery. You can deliver rich content such as images, text, HTML, clickable links, FLASH, video, scrolling text, PowerPoint slides with 100% visibility.
Wallpapers
The wallpaper module is an effective way of communicating important messages to your staff by simply changing their desktop wallpapers. Its low-key manner allows you to quickly remind employees about a large number of important tasks.
This module can work as a convenient bulletin board tool where you can post event reminders, celebratory messages, company news, progress reports, changes in rules and regulations.
Digital Signage
Digital signage is an effective way of communicating your messages to an audience wherever you have a screen – for example in a waiting room, in staff rooms and other areas.
Unlike traditional bulletin boards which are static, a digital signage solution can be creative and colourful, with moving announcements, and can use photos and video.
Campaigns
The campaign module makes it a breeze to carry out activities in your internal communications plan. Simple and straightforward to use, administrators can easily log in and build templates containing different combinations of content to send to employees either immediately or at a future date.
Active Directory
Integrating with Active Directory is one of the most vital features of DeskAlerts, since it simplifies targeting the information in a large organisation. Use existing organisational units and security groups to deliver the notifications on a location or role basis, or target selected individual recipients for maximum precision.
IP Groups
This module allows you to send alerts to specific areas by creating groups based on IP address.
Publishers
Using this module you can create publishers and delegate them custom rights, allowing you to share the ability to send out alerts.
Reports
This allows you to generate reports on the various alerts you have sent. It features statistics by dates, allowing you to track message delivery down to specific users and devices, charts, the ability to export data to a CSV file, and support for widgets.
Create Opt-In Lists
The Opt-In function gives employees the option to ‘subscribe’ or choose the messages they want to receive. The administrators will then receive data that can be used to sort out user messaging lists.
